Jordan Olive Oil
We currently produce only 2 superior kinds of olive oil:
1. Extra virgin olive oil extracted through the Sinolea method, this is ca
lled 'The Flower of the Oil' as there is minimal interference in the extraction of the oil, no heat whatsoever is applied in this method, which yields ten percent to fourty percent of the oil (depending on the variety). Polyphenols, responsible for aroma and good for the cardiovascular system, are found in all extra-virgin olive oil provided it is cold-pressed. In the Sinolea method however, they are concentrated three times more than in extra-virgin olive oil.
2. Cold pressed extra-virgin olive oil, which is extracted at a temperature never exceeding 28* C and most often at 24* C.
Both are available in 500ml bottles.
Our olive oil is a mixture of all the olive varieties grown at Majdal and hence its depth of taste and inimitable bouquet.
Some of our plots are planted with a single variety and we can produce a single varietal olive oil.
Whether one chooses the Sinolea method or the Extra Virgin method, Majdal Olive Oil is a palate-exhilarating experience with a smooth fruity beginning and a slight peppery burst mid-taste. It is a blend of flavours that can be enjoyed simply as is, or with any rich culinary inspiration.
