About Majdal

A family estate about 50 km north of Amman, Jordan, in the foothills of the Ajloun Mountain range. Majdal Estate, comprising about 1,200 acres and located at altitudes of between 380 to 720 meters above sea level, is planted with some 30,000 olive trees, of which about 22,000 are in full production. Part of the estate is planted with ancient oak and pine trees (Pinus Halepensis) that have existed since time immemorial and form part of a larger forest that reaches the peaks of the Ajloun Mountains at around 1,300 meters above sea level.

In addition to olive trees the owners have planted fig, almond, walnut and pomegranate trees. In recent years the planting of damascene roses for the purpose of extracting attar of rose was also begun on the estate.

One of the main advantages that Majdal enjoys is that unlike many other producers of olive oil, Majdal Olive Oil is produced from a single family estate and hence there is complete control over all stages of production and the quality of the fruits.
